July 3, 2015
  • The Haiti Team departs from Charlotte on Tuesday, July 7th and arrives in Port au Prince at 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 12th Dr. Michael Hobbs will preach and a catered lunch by Seaboard Station will follow the service.  ALL are invited to stay for lunch.
  • Wednesday, July 15th, the Haiti team returns to Charlotte; one group arrives at 3:15 p.m. and the other group arrives at 9:10 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 19th following worship a BBQ lunch will be served.  The proceeds from this donation lunch will go for Patrick Ledford’s matching grant to Duke Divinity School.
  • July 27th – 31st   9:00 to 12:00 is Vacation Bible School.  This year First Baptist and First Methodist will join together and it will be held at FBC.  Call Mary to volunteer to help.
  • The July 28th Church Council meeting has been canceled. 

Vacation Bible School 2015

First Methodist Church and First Baptist Church are joining together to have Vacation Bible School this summer!

         Everest Vacation Bible School is

July 27 - 31 from 9:00 am - 12:15 pm

                                                   at First Baptist Church

This year Vacation Bible School will be a joint endeavor between First United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church. We will have VBS at First Baptist Church on July 27-31 from 9:00-12:15. The two churches are thrilled to be working with each other as we join together as one to minister to our children and community. This year the children will be exploring icy, Everest terrain on an adventure to Conquer our Challenges with God’s mighty power.

Volunteer Meeting is Saturday, July 25 at 10:00am in the Fellowship Hall of FBC.

Please pray for our VBS, volunteers, and the children and don’t forget to mark your calendars for July 27-31!

Pennies for Zoe is the last Sunday of Every Month!

April 29, 2015

Adults can add pennies/money to Pennies for Zoe. You can give your change/money to a child to bring up during Children’s Time on Zoe Sunday or leave it by the offering plate for Zoe for a child to empty the money in the Zoe Pot on Zoe Sunday. Thanks for your help and support for “Pennies for Zoe”!
